Description: Rosin is brittle, concoidal fracture, hard, some tacky resin with concoidal fracture , transparent - light yellow - yellow up to barely transparent dark brown in color.
Tall oil rosin obtained in the meltback process of resin acid crystals (mostly abietic and dihydro abietic acids), separated at distillation of tall oil. Tall oil rosin is an amorphous substance incorporating some fatty acids.
Application: Pulp and paper industry, paint and varnish and other branches of industry, including soap industry.
